Rich & Abby - Oak Alley Proposal

Two rows of 300 year old live oak trees line a carefully maintained brick path. The brilliant green leaves match the manicured grass below, creating a breath taking scene with a nearly 200 year old, gorgeous southern plantation at the end. You can feel the history, it's in the air.

A couple goes for a stroll among them, hand in hand, just taking it in. The man turns, he grabs his partner, looks her in the eye and slowly lowers himself down on one knee, presenting a ring from inside his jacket. She gasps, hands covering her mouth in excitement, she is overjoyed, to the point of tears. It is in that moment that their lives are added to the history of that majestic place.

That is what we live for. Those little moments of life where time stops and love fills the air.

Ben & Sarah - City Park Vow Renewal

Meet Ben & Sarah. They came all the way from Kentucky to renew their vows in New Orleans, on their 10th year anniversary, and I was lucky enough to be there to photograph it for them.

I'm incredibly grateful that I had the opportunity to be there with them. Their love, passion, and attitudes were so wonderful to be around. It's always easy to feel great when you've got rad couples like these two, who have been together for a such a long time standing in front of you, laughing, living and loving each other.

Congratulations y'all.

Sandy & Katie - French Quarter Wedding Chapel

I have never really had the opportunity to shoot elopements before this year, and I really wasn't sure what to expect when I talked with Sandy and Katie about photographing them.

These two people blew my mind with their personalities. They were incredible to be around, their presence lit up the room and they lit up each other. I remember walking back to my car thinking my face was literally hurting from smiling and laughing so much.

Their elopement was easily one of my top favorite moments of all time to photograph. The French Quarter Wedding Chapel where they became husband and wife was the coolest place I've ever seen, with it's signed bills hanging from the rafters, the plethora of random chandeliers and Reverend Tony who was hysterical.

We dare you to try and not smile while reliving their day, our bet is you probably can't.

Justin & Melissa - The Gallery at The Chicory Wedding

Justin and Melissa are two of the coolest, nicest people I've ever had the pleasure of knowing. I met these two years ago when I worked with them at a gym. They always seemed to be together, constantly smiling and infecting the air with their good vibes. It is no surprise that they ended up getting married to each other, and I'm thrilled that I was able to photograph that for them. They also know how to throw one hell a friggin' party, that shit was off the hook. I remember leaving and having to wipe myself down, the dance floor was slammed with really great friends and family who kept us moving all night long.

Vu & Kim - New Orleans Wedding

So here's an awesome couple I had the pleasure of shooting for, especially on short notice. Totally glad that I was available to be there for these two.

Y'all were fantastic.

Congrats Vu & Kim.

George & Christine - Mater Dolorosa Church

Funny story, Christine and I know each other. Like really friggin' well. We used to work together, and by work I mean do nothing but goof off the whole time.

She's crazy, and I mean the awesome fun kind of crazy. I don't know how George does it, but he's a saint. Hah. I went to high school with George's younger brother and didn't really get to know him until after Christine and I got close.

These two are awesome. And their reception, well that was one hell of a party. Non-stop dancing all night, just how I like it.

It’s not a party until someone splits their pants.

Ryan & Rachelle - Sacred Heart Chapel

I really dig, small intimate weddings. You know the what I'm talking about, the ones that don't worry about details, or how big their budget is. The only thing that matters is the passion and love between the couple.

Ryan and Rachelle had that by the boat loads, and then some. This was by far the shortest wedding I've ever had the pleasure of shooting, but let me just tell you, that there was an abundance of love in the air with these two, and it was an absolute treat to be the one to capture that moment for them.

Ryan & Emily - Chateau Country Club

Party of the year. For real, I couldn't have asked for a better couple to ring in the new year with.

I knew we were going to be in for a crazy fun wedding the second I got the inquiry from Emily. She's one of a kind and I mean that in the best freaking way, and Ryan is the perfect person for her. Those two were made for each other.

Their wedding even had a mascot, which happened to be a whale from Lucy's. I love quirky things like that.

In a nutshell: Incredible couple, awesomely wild party, and love everywhere.

A Latrobe's on Royal Wedding with Lindsay & Conrad

So, I've been trying to think of what I can say to best describe this wedding. I'm speechless. That's how freaking awesome it was. I couldn't have asked for a more fun, easy going, and insanely fun couple to work with.

Their venue was nothing short of awesome as well, but that's expected from Latrobe's on Royal. From the dimly lit, romantic vibes down to a downright killer DJ who really took us by surprise, we were constantly impressed by this couple and their style.

To top it all off, they closed the night by second-lining down Bourbon Street. That's right, a second line, down Bourbon...on a Saturday night. It was OFF. THE. CHAIN.

Anyways, since I'm horrible at telling you how awesome it truly was, I'll just shut up and show you.
